The Laundry Can Wait

I wanted to put away a load of laundry.

I was also beat.

It was only about eight o’clock, and I was wondering why I was so tired already. I was working on month-end close and going through what still needed to get done the next day.

The work was there. The laundry was there.

And I was tired.

I had already talked through the next day’s tasks and which problem I wanted to handle first. Then I thought about putting the clothes away, and I just didn’t have it in me.

The laundry could wait. I was beat.
